I think there can't be more than one most alpha in the place (pretty obvious said that way). So the most alpha is the lead. So he is the one who will sort of tell people what to do, what to don't, what is ok, what isn't. Then, if everyone else are kids, someone can be excluded and the alpha should make the move to integrate him or excluding him as the alpha doesn't approve either that person behavior or whatsoever. Like kids excluding another kid and an adult making them together or putting him in the corner for is bad behavior.

People want to talk about themselves, parent shouldn't be telling their problems to their kids or tell the lame shit they did at work, etc. Parents ask questions, cheers, play, neg, try to give their attention to all their child equally. That really sounds like a good way to think alpha, should be dug deeper.

I'd say most men DO act like grown up children; the majority crave attention, validation and praise the same as women do.

Nice guy syndrome, seems like a good comparaison. They are children ashamed of themselves, they never really grown up, because they are "inherently bad" so they never developed. (For those who didn't understand, I'm referring to the book No more mister nice guy)
