I met this girl during college orientation and added each other on FB. About 3 days later she messages me with "Hey". We chat for 1 day about food and jobs which was a mistake on my part. I should have seized the opportunity to ask her out. She got bored and left me hanging for 3 days.

I was really tempted to send another message like 'I hope you have an essay ready for me" but luckily I held back. Lo and behold she messaged me yesterday.

I decided to read some red pill advice on how to ask a girl out. If I didn't, I would have sent "hey we should hang out some time" or "when are you free". Instead I told her I would be at this mall close to her place and that we should grab lunch.

I got rejected. She said she couldn't go tomorrow and was sorry. I just replied "No problem!". That's when a wave of relief came over. I regretted not asking her to hang out when she messaged me.

So my question is, what should I do better next time with a different girl?

tl;dr Met girl at college. She messages me. I don't initiate anything. She returns my message 3 days later and then I ask for lunch. Rejected. What should I do next time?
