I would consider the military, or look into a trade skill job. Union jobs are great.

Do not go back for a second bachelors, use your past experience and BS your resume to get yourself into some interviews - look for entry level work within solid organizations.

I'm working a shitty job. Haven't been able to land a decent paying one.

That's probably your fault.

Or join the military. The Army is the only branch I really have shot at getting an officer slot for.

I'm curious as to why this is your only other option.

Start using your time and resources to advance yourself. Crawling along with your bum bitch girlfriend isn't going to help. She won't push you, only you can do that.

I personally don't recommend the military but if you're applying for a position that has real world applications, such as a trade with a look to being self employed. it's definitely something you should consider.

You know things have to change, this is your top priority after keeping your current income.

I was in a similar position. Quit my worthless politics degree, ditched my gf of 4 years. I managed to land a low paid manufacturering job. Showed willing, did everything they asked and more. I've worked my way up and doubled my salary in just over a year.

Do you have any family or friends that have a trade? offering your time for free for them to teach you would be a good option. If it is the military that you think is your most realistic option do your research, talk to local vets and way up your options before committing.

It's not going to happen over night but keep moving forward.

You need to get away. The military will open doors and provide opportunities to travel, gain discipline, and become a man. Plus all them benefits.

I was in a similar position. I decided to go to a local trade school where I then learned to become an electrician. Only took 7 months of accelerated classes and boom. I started at 16$ an hour and only moved up from there. Lot of growth & easy to get employed. Union workers make 40$+ per hour average

Join the military. Be careful with your MOS because that can steer you toward a great or crappy time in the army. It will give you free schooling, a place to live, nice income, a direction for yourself, and chicks love men in uniform. You also get a chance to travel the world, depending on your MOS. Be smart and picky about that decision - choose something applicable to civilian life or you're making yourself even more bottle-necked to a certain job.
