I’m 18. I was deliverying food since I’m a delivery driver for a company. The girl’s name was Elley and that name always stood with me because of that video game “The Last of Us.”

Once I arrived at her address. Fuck. She was so gorgeous like her hair was dyed red, like a mixture of red and blonde like blood falling on a haystack.

We met and I was giving her the food and I’ll be honest. I’m a good looking guy saying that confidently not being cocky and I get stares and smiles from women all the time that are gorgeous and I smile back always unless for some reason I stupidly don’t.

But this was different. After giving her the food and I wanted to tell her that girls that dye their hair that color are gorgeous. Wanted to ask her out. But the moment words were about to come out of my mouth, I was stuck.

I felt like I was drowning. I couldn’t breathe. I was screaming inside and yelling but I was losing oxygen. My vision was black and blue from the deep dark ocean surrounding me. All I could see is a faint view of her face and outfit. “Elley.”

my life is slipping away and when she said “have a great day,” I said; “yeah.”
