I have been sending messages to a girl for a few weeks, increasing attraction and demonstrating value. She seemed genuinely attracted. She works in the us but lives in mexico and has no car.

So she asks me if I could take her to the border one night since she otherwise walks about one and a half hours. I say fine but as long as I get a kiss (may as well make it worth my while if I'm going to make a one and a half hour round trip, right?) may have been a been too elementary school in retrospect but she said ok and mentioned something like 'what if I fall in love' to which I replied 'oh, you will'

So I meet her for the first time, we hug and kiss on the cheeks. Great. On the way to the border shes laughing nervously the whole way. She's really nervous when it comes time to say goodbye but when we kiss she goes hard for it. Tongue and all. Definitely wasnt expecting this. Excited, I then made a bad joke about wanting to take her back to my place but I covered it up with sarcasm about already having taken her to the border.

That night she seemed off, giving me short emotionless replies. After asking what is wrong she said she usually never does things like that and she feels she looks easy, and that I do too. Weird thing is I genuinely like her and would like to spend more time with her. She has been distant since then. Feeling like I messed up by taking things too fast but I was convinced she wanted it just like I did. I guess her anti slut defenses coming up. We talked more and I explained I liked her so it didn't seem wrong to me and that I knew she liked it too without seeming too apologetic. She said it was fine and that she got too into it.

Anyway, I'm assuming she's still attracted and wants me. (How could she not after all those sparks flew?) So how do I get the conversation flowing again without seeming apologetic or needy if all I'm getting in response to my quality texts are 'haha's and 'ok's? For now I am increasing distance until she messages first. Which I'm assuming wont be too far away since she will have to walk back from work. It's not a big deal since I have a stable plate (just one though), but I would like some insight in how I should have played this better, or if it was doomed to begin with.
