TL;DR at bottom

I posted a picture with my boyfriend on social media. A guy commented “why would you want to date a hobo lol” I think he was referring to my boyfriends beard. I just told the guy that was a rude thing to say and not to speak about him like that.

He told me that I wouldn’t be with my boyfriend if he wasn’t a 6ft 2 asshole... my boyfriend is 5ft 7 and the nicest guy ever! He doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body (which is true of a lot guys)

The commenter got mad, told me I was lying and then used a bunch of profanity. I pointed out that I’m 5ft 5 and if he looked at the photos he would see that my boyfriend isn’t that much taller than me.

Anyway what’s wrong with being 5ft 7? I don’t care about height because personality is far more important. The majority of people feel the same as me and I know that because of the research I did for psychology when we looked at how people choose their partners, qualities and perceptions etc. The whole exchange left me very confused and I think this subreddit could help clear it up.

TL;DR I’m a woman and had my first interaction with what my friend referred to as a incel. He said that my boyfriend was an asshole and that I was lying about him being 5”7. I told him he was wrong.

Sorry if I did this wrong but I don’t really do reddit. My friend said I should make an account but I still don’t really use it
