This thanksgiving I met with some old friends who gave me a ton of shit for liking TRP. They started by associating it with the incel group and how they murdered women. Then they criticized how TRP paints gender with a broad brush and went on to speak about the patriarchy, feminism, eliminating gender stereotypes etc. They’re super leftists as you can tell.

I guess I didn’t realize that TRP was so controversial. Can anyone take a stab at the root of why TRP is controversial? Hell, the sub was deleted after all! What I do know now is that TRP doesn’t jive with left wing ideology.

It seems especially unfair to link TRP to incels. To me, TRP is about plate theory, which might as well be the opposite of being incel.

Edit: I’ve noticed at least 3 different people in person associate TRP with incels.
