So my dad and mom were arranged married from some tiny obscure asian village. My dad was valued for his high academic standing. My mom for the fact she was a virgin, listened to her father, came from a "good family", was skinny, healthy, young etc.

This is how things were back then. Anyways. I read both "3% man" and "rational male" and had a lot of "aha" moments. Learned to take a lot of my ex-gf's bitchy not so personally and began to understand the motive behind them

anyways. The ideas in both books lined up 100% congruent with my experiences in my life. But why doesn't a lot of this apply to my mom and dad? Has giving women rights and sexually liberating them caused issues in that they expect more and are complicated?

Why doesn't my mom attempt to make my mom jealous? My mom makes my dad happy. He makes her happy. My dad had alcohol issues for a period of 3 years where a few business partners screwed him over and he hit rock bottom. But he pulled himself together. Outside of that three year period, my mom and him are basically a happy healthy couple and I really want to emulate their relationship if I end up getting married

Anyways; thoughts?
