Why soft/hard/nuclear next? Why not just assertively say, maybe after a quick last pump, “this is a waste of my time, it’s over”

We agreed to end things if we wanted to date/fuck other people, or were uncomfortable with things. Why not just ice her a bit with a subtle, deniable statement that sounds like I’m going to start fucking something else?

Wouldn’t the preemptive strike, leaving her scrambling for a branch, thinking “oh shit, he had backups” and trapped in her thoughts, I leave with my respect, be preferable than just coming off as beta and ignoring?

Socially aware, I think not contacting at all or ignoring her would just come off as butthurt. Asserting a thought would be alpha, regardless if she’s not thinking of me that way anymore or not.
