"Why were you ignoring me?" - How to answer post-no contact/radio silence.

I'm guessing you never explain why you actually went no-contact, but how do you respond to this?

Do you just say "busy"? Ignore the question entirely? In this instance it's over text, but ideal in person responses appreciated too.
