BPD’s have a way of putting a spell on you. They suck you in and become addictive, causing you to put up with BS you wouldn’t normally.

Man I can relate. I have a high SMV. I'm good at what I do, I'm charismatic make friends easily blah blah blah.

Dude I was in a relationship with a BPD witch for 11 years. Two kids, a living hell. Mostly dead bedroom but only because I didn't want to fuck her anymore.

Left her in 2016 and a shit show of a divorce ensued. Got on tinder and became part of the cock carousel, and found myself here when I realized I was promoting a girl to LTR that had more red flags than a mao rally.

I have a lot of natural RP tendencies but definitely had a ton of BP stuff to deprogram.

I found out that my ex was BPD not from any reading I was doing here but one of the women I was dating was a psychology grad student and told me she checked all the boxes from my descriptions of her.

Guess what?

I've realized lately that my dad probably almost definitely has BPD. All the telltale signs such as splitting. You're either in heaven or hell with these people and they make you walk on eggshells. My dad was mentally and physically abusive, One of my first memories is him grabbing my mom and slamming her face into the wall. At the same time he's extremely charismatic was very successful is a brilliant man has lots of friends and is generally beloved. It was a lot what I imagine it's like being the child of a celebrity.

Why do I bring up my dad? It's because as adults we seek to recreate situations that we had as children in order to try to understand them and go through them in a different way to make right what was once wrong. My relationship with my abusive father was mirrored by me getting in a relationship with an abusive woman.

Your friend is going to have to look deeper into his own psychology to understand the demons that he needs to work out. Until he does that he's going to keep getting into relationships like this and maybe staying it for a very long time if not forever.

Part of his problem are his trad con ways.

They engender a typical desire to whiteknight.

Here's the thing:

Most guys out there are programmed to follow a script for fulfillment. The script is something like this:

1) Go to college. 2)Find the right girl. 3)Settle down. 4)2.3 kids, white picket fence.

The problem with that, is that it is impossible without that one special snowflake. Men are letting emotional terrorists hold the entirety of their lives hostage, because none of it can happen without their sweet little boo.

They'd be better off building their own life, independent of a single source of pussy.

You could analyze this situation because it happens to every other Man who settles for less than their worth. Maybe he's lacking things you've never realized. Either way, your energy is better spent not focusing on why other Men fuck up, it should be better spent on building yourself.

Also, being a tradcon is silly. There are WAAAAY too many things that need to happen governmental law wise for that to be viable again. Not going to happen in our lifetimes

Tbh, I read your post and sensed a hint of jealousy.

When they ask for anyone to stand up or forever hold their peace, jump up and proclaim your love for your friend. Walk up, pushing the bride out of the way and start blowing him to assert dominance.
