Widows: How Long is Long Enough?

There's a really hot widow in my circle of acquaintance. Her hubs died in a motorcycle accident. Right now she's grieving HARD, and it's obvious it's too soon for an approach.

Now I realize that ALL real life situations are just that: unique situations.

But are there any rules of thumb that would apply to widows?
