My 10 friend posted this so I had a conversation with her. I thought the little guy did well. I've actually found her to be pretty easy so I figure he didn't convey his tone/nonverbal communication/neg well.
P.S. I tried to make my title as obnoxious as the stylelife emails. :P

Yeah I don't see anything he did particularly wrong. I'd praise him for the confidence in approaching and a fun/flirtatious way of making her guess rather than just telling.
I can see where he fell apart though. It was when she said "you're five years too young." He came back with a line that showed that he was clearly trying to win her favor, justifying himself. That's bad frame control - he needed to project to her that she should be proving herself to him, rather than him attempting to prove himself to her. I would have responded by teasing her or putting her down lightly in some way, probably by teasing her for being an old woman and past her prime.

Yeah I agree, even though she's 20. He did mess up by trying to justify himself. Style used that line for last minute resistance, not right after you open.

Good on you for pointing out what the kid did right, even if it doesn't help him, the 80 or so guys she has as friends on facebook that are too scared to make a move on her might get some balls.

There really isn't much context on what the guy actually did in his attempt unless simply asking the girl's age was his opener?
