So this is something a great deal of guys on this site as well as in western culture in general struggle with, being lonely after college, though a great number of them were lonely in college too but college does get hyped up a great deal. If you're one of the very few about to graduate or might have already graduated, this guide is just for you but before we start it, lets get a few things out of the way.
You must have some degree of a social life if you want to do well with women, especially if you're chasing the hot ones.
You don't have to be Dan Bilzerian and have a million Instagram followers (we will get to social media later) but you do need to have some friends. If you are the stereotypical hermit, you will struggle with women. The only exception to this rule are guys that are unbelievably handsome, they can get by with Tinder and cold approaches but this guide was made for the other 99% of guys.
The number one thing I would say most hot girls value in a guy is status, what others think of them and how many people actually want to associate with him. I have found that almost all guys I knew who consistently dated hot girls had some degree of a social life, often it was an active one. So if you are struggling with women after graduation, fix this first.
There is life after college, the fun didn't stop when you got the diploma.
I know in American culture, college is seen as the end all be all of fun, this is simply not true. As a matter of fact, big city life in the right areas often rivals or even tops life at a division 1 party school. One of my friends said that "NYC in your 20s is like college, except the girls are hotter and the bars are better". As someone who has stayed in the Big Apple, I whole heartedly agree with him. The good parties and fun experiences do not stop after college.
A lot of the fun cool people in college are still having fun after it, people don't get married in their early 20s as they used to.
Now about the advice.
1 - Its all about location.
Move to boring suburb after college? No fun.
Move to the young party area of a big city? Lots of fun.
Go where you have always wanted to go whether it is NYC, Chicago, Miami, or Austin. Ideally, you want to go to cities that have a high population of "millennials" as these are cities where people are likely to party more, hook up culture is big, and where you will find more attractive women. Cities with a lot of millennials are ideal because you don't have to deal with cranky older people who will complain of noises and give you moral lectures on why you need to get married and have kids.
2 - You should have been on social media years ago, get on it if you are not!
I know social media gets a lot of hate for being a "waste of time" among PUA groups and the red pill types, these are the same guys who have no social life and post on internet forums all day. Social media is the new normal and the new way of communication. Be on Facebook and I hope you have quality friends from the past to add, if not this is going to be rough.
If you make socially well connected friends, they will advertise parties and quality events going on in the city whether it is a rooftop pool party or something special. Go to these events that are broadcasted on social media and also see who is going, if you see a lot of profile of younger people going, it is worth going to.
Social media = being connected to the world.
Don't add fake accounts and fake Instagram followers to get your following up, add actual people that you have met and know in real life. Use it for keeping track of events going on as well as displaying your fun life, avoid it and you will very likely be out of touch.
3 - If you did some things socially right before hitting adulthood, this will be a lot easier!
If you were a popular guy in college, this will be easy to do, especially if you went to a big school.
If you made some friends in college and were not a complete hermit, this will also be doable.
If you were a total hermit, this is going to be tough.
I say connect with an alumni group for your school if possible or some old classmates, meet friends through them.
4 - MeetUp is overrated.
I've found that MeetUp is usually older people, married couples, and a lot of strange people that don't really make for friends you want in your life. The vast majority of the MeetUps I have tried have been older creepy guys, uglier girls who are socially lonely, and at times a married couple. I've never meet any quality people or fun people through MeetUp.
