I was taught growing up to believe in monogamy and to pursue just one person. To work on issues when together, and to court for a long time. Obviously that is not the same for everybody, and now I want to start dating as I've never officially dated before. Flirt, party, hangout, work together, school, etc. I wouldn't ever go for dinner with just a girl, or go to the movies, or have date nights like other people. I always had this "professional dater" catch that always turned me away from the idea of seduction.

How can I get past that idea and just get out there? Or should I be asking dating advice?
