This happened a few months ago. I met this girl (woman) on a dating portal, and we had long chats via FB messenger, I think. She was able to keep the conversation going without me having to keep coming up with topics, which I found hot, and in general it seemed like it could work. After some weeks so we decided to meet in person. Then this happened:

  1. She insisted that we go for a walk which I didn't like (it was winter and I'd prefer to just sit in a nice place - AKA pub - and talk), but I agreed.

  2. She says “know what, this path is closed for construction, let's go the other way”. Me: “sure, fine”.

  3. She looks at me and announces "dude, you're so obedient, you just go where I say" in a condescending way (or at least in a totally non-flirtatious way).

  4. The whole thing from then on feels kinda forced and awkward.

  5. We both part ways and never speak again.

Lesson learned and implemented in subsequent dates:
Make sure to disagree with her on something just not to pass for a pushover.

Bonus lesson learned: Don't frickin talk online for months - lots of wasted time if it's going to come to a crashing halt on the first meeting.
