So yesterday I finally asked out the girl I had an interest in after lurking and reading all the threads about asking girls out on here . She said no, which I wasn't really surprised nor butthurt, but then she commented out of nowhere that I was a "cute couple" with another girl, which I'm friends with. I'm pretty sure she's basically recommending her to me.

So I have a couple of questions from this recount.

  • Is she being genuine with me, or is that her way to sweeten her refusal?
  • If she is being genuine, should I go for her friend she basically recommended?
