Yeaah, a good point of view indeed. But I prefer to work with value. In the end, I think it is a mix of the two.

It's not black and white. Although negatively portrayed, being a nice guy doesn't mean being a tool that women can walk over like a door mat. Likewise, having self respect doesn't mean they are no less of a nice guy.
There are not-so-nice guys who don't have any self respect and will cheat on the woman they are with because they think they they can get away with it while still having the benefits of the girlfriend.
You gain value by being true to yourself, achieving your milestones, and by constantly working on yourself, with or without a woman.
You lose value by going against your morals, sacrificing your dreams at your expense, and letting yourself go.
So you see, you can be a nice guy either way, but obviously women find the nice guy who's a master of their own destiny way more attractive.
