I had quite a few people comment on my post from this morning talking about how crazy my night was. I’ll go into the details about stuff in this post with some helpful tips.

My roommates and I are very content with just chillin with the boys and drinking beers and having conversation. We aren’t by any means “party animals”, but we sure as hell know how to turn it up and get rowdy. One of my roommates has a brother who is about 6 years older than us and is a pharmacist in town doing a residency. His ltg cheated on him recently and he’s been itchin to get out ever since.

Well, PharmD came over yesterday and pushed us out of the comfort zone. He said, “So we just gonna keep it a sausage fest or we gonna actually go out and meet some chicks tonight?” To this point, I suggested a bar that has a pretty good rep for being cheap but fun. We hit the road, and we head inside.

PharmD scouts out some girls but they aren’t really what we’re about. I was out last night to meet new people as my senior year of college comes to an end, prepping me for real life. No intensions to get laid. My roommate runs into a friend from high school who was in his church group as well. PharmD invites her group to play some drinking games, and it was on.

Her friends are cool, we’re all shooting the shit and having a fun time. Another two of their friends join us and they’re on the same wavelength as me and PharmD. They constantly kept talking about how fun we were— I was kind of tired of shooting pool, so I suggested heading to the next bar. It’s Pouring rain, and long waits, so no thank you.

THIS NEXT PART IS CRUCIAL EVERYONE. YOU HAVE TO BE SO CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF AND NOT CARE WHAT THE OUTCOME OF SHOOTING YOUR SHOT IS.

I say to the girls, “Check this out, you’re all more than welcome to come to our place to play some more games. We’ve got better drinks than here, there isn’t a line, and it’s not raining inside our apartment.” They were SOLD.

We get back to our place, and the fun continues as does conversation. The most attractive girl in the group must’ve seen me just being myself and having fun. She plops down next to me on the couch, and she starts getting a little handsy, flirting a little bit. I was taken aback because I hadn’t anticipated this happening at all. She straight up kissed me on the lips out of nowhere. Then she does it again. At this point, I turn to her and we just go at it in front of our friends. She asks me to go to a more private area, so I take her to the hall because PharmD is making out with her friend in the kitchen. We keep going at it, until she interrupts again asking to go somewhere else. We go to my room, and the fun ramps up.

I hear this banging on the door. Her friend wants to talk to her (granted, it was already like 3am, the rest of our group dipped earlier). She shuts my door and talks to her. 5 minutes pass, and the friend comes to me in the kitchen. “Look, you go in there and do your thing—all I ask is that you be respectful.” Of course I can. Swear on my life, I Scooby-Doo high tailed it back to my room and...well you already know what happens next;)

These girls had so much fun and told my roommate when he dropped them off “You guys are great! We definitely have to do this again!”. Successful time no doubt.

Lessons learned: Wingman with someone who has nothing to lose going out. You will be incredibly surprised at what kinds of opportunities can come because you simply aren’t concerned with “winning” or “losing”. We were those guys having a rowdy time, and women notice it. Treat everyone with respect and if they aren’t your type, you can politefully find someone else to talk with (I got rejected by her sorority sister earlier in the night). If you don’t believe you got a shot, you don’t got a shot. Stop putting someone on a pedestal. Go for it. If you succeed, awesome. If you don’t, that just helps you realize you don’t need to allocate effort there anymore.

What a fucking night. Thanks for reading.
