I (17M) was at the park before. I was looking to make my first cold approach ever. But whenever I saw a group of girls, the most common excuse that I made in my mind was the age. Look, I want to date girls 16-18, but it's never clear whether they meet my age requirement or not. At least not at first sight. I almost approached a group of girls there, that I thought were around the age, but when I looked closer, they were like 14yo. Later, I saw a couple of girls, but they were too far and they seemed to have like 19 or 20, do I didn't approach.

So, that's my biggest problem. Could you guys give me some advice? Like, what if I approached those two last girls, asked one out, and she is 20yo? What do I say? If I ask about the age before asking out, what if they're older or younger than I thought? Then I wouldn't know what to say or do because I probably wouldn't want to date her.
