I might have one drink at a bar and that is only usually as a prop. In fact I think of drinks as props. I want those girls to think I am a little drunk but I am in control. It is much easier to control the woman when she is drunk and you are not. And by actually drinking that one drink I get just the relaxed nature that I like that allows me to speak and be more open with women and not care so much if they don't want to dance etc. I also ask for a sprite with a splash of coke and to put it into a cocktail glass so that I continue to look like I am drinking something. When asked I am having a rum and coke. However, having said all of this I am usually stoned out of my mind wherever I go so I don't know if that offsets anything.

There seems to be a big movement in the "pickup community" about not drinking when going out.
I drink copiously and do just fine. Whereas many on here are against it because you aren't quite as quick on your feet when drinking, my goal when going out is always to have fun first. When i'm out drinking having a blast, I do well with women. If i decide not to drink specifically for the purpose of picking up women, that puts heaps of pressure on myself to get girls for the night, rather than enjoy myself... can't let the prospect of getting women control your decision of whether or not you drink, or your behavior in general.. imo.

Just to clarify, I dont not drink because I think it will help my game, I just dont drink naturally. I feel like I dont need alcohol to have fun.

in that case, i think it depends how drunk everyone else is. If everyone in the bar is drunk, i think it hurts you to be stone-cold sober... unless you can fool others into thinking you are just as drunk as them... and in that case some might say you are taking advantage of drunk girls..
at the same time if the people in the bar aren't too drunk, it would be terrible for your drunkass to stumble into a set and start blabbering to girls.
For me, being drunk helps because 1) i'm having a good time...
2) i'm not nervous
and this one is a bit more controversial
3) i start talking before i think... which sounds bad... but it actually tends to be a good thing because i speak more confidently... and my every word doesn't come off as a manufactured line, story, etc. (by the way, i think those scripted lines and stories are stupid, unnatural, and insincere)
