I'm a beginner to game, but not a total beginner. I went to a speed dating event recently. I had previously gone to a speed dating about a year ago.

At the one I went to a year ago, around 10 women showed up and 15 men. Out of those 10 women, there were maybe 3-4 in their 20s, and the rest were in their 30s or obese. One girl did seem somewhat interested, so we exchanged numbers. I also noticed she chose me on the website where we made our selections. I asked her out via text, but she eventually stopped replying

After reading some tips on what to do during speed dating, I now realize I probably screwed up by talking too much when they asked me questions about my job and my previous travels abroad. These problems occurred because oftentimes as soon as I sat to talk with a new girl, she would ask me a question quickly such as what kind of work I do. I probably should've asked them more interesting questions and sexual questions, such as what their first kiss was like or where they had the craziest sex, and kept my answers to their questions short

I remember the cutest girl at the last event kept asking me questions about one of my previous jobs and my traveling abroad as she seemed interested in listening, but apparently she wasn't interested because she kept refusing my request to exchange numbers when time ran up

Anyone else tried speed dating? Anyone have any tips?
