Great idea. Women are always saying yes to things they want but don’t need at Target. I know because I am one of them.

Edit: I forgot to add, ask for their opinion on something, in a light hearted, joking kind of way as your opening.

No amount of advice will overcome your fear, you just have to jump in and do it. You can literally start by just saying a simple hi and work your way up

Well, you are not ready to actually start meeting women until you get over your shyness and fear of rejection. Here is an exercise for you.

Go one or two towns over to another Target. Your mission is to get 10-15 rejections. Yes, you heard it right! Rejections. Don’t say or do anything weird or offensive. Simply when you spot a girl you find attractive, walk up to her, say “Hi, I’m (insert your name here). I hope this is not too direct, but I kind of find you attractive and would love to take you out for a drink sometime. If you are up for it, here, you can give me your number and I will call you tomorrow”. Then hand her your phone for her to type her number/insta in it.

Again; your objective is to collect 10-15 rejections. Don’t walk up to women and say “wow you look fat” or anything stupid. Just say the lines above.

Eventually, you will find out that when you don’t care about the outcome, you will relax and you won’t even get rejected much. You might even have trouble collecting that many rejections.

Once you are over the shyness and anxiety, you can go back to your home Target. It’s very important not to be the creepy guy who hangs out there just to hit on girls. Go in as usually to do your shopping. Always have a purpose to be there and some mission to accomplish. And only if you see someone attractive, should you go out of your way to flirt with her.

The secret to successful flirting is to do it without any expectations. Meaning, don’t do it because you expect her to be attracted or respond in like. Just say a flirty line and be prepared to keep walking. A fun situational opener you can do is if you see someone shopping for eggs and an attractive woman near by, you can walk up to her pretending to be looking at the egg buyer and say something like “look at that guy. Flaunting his money, I mean who buys eggs in this economy?”

Hopefully this gets a laugh out of her and you can keep up this banter if you want to and say something like: “well, I should probably find out if he’s single. Desperate times call for desperate measures and I know I won’t have a chance with Only Fans.” Blah blah blah.

Then just chat her up and eventually, after a few minutes say “hey gotta go back to my shopping, but I like talking to you. I’d love to take you out for a drink and get to know you better, if you are up to it”. And then exchange numbers, etc and tell her you will call tomorrow.

Ask the worker for help and while she’s helping you engage in light hearted banter but keep it fun and sweet. She’s still on the job so it’s gotta be relevant but fun, that’s the sweet spot.

Just don’t go after the workers. Sure, you can talk to them to build up your courage but remember they have to be nice to you because they work there.

I suggest going indirect with your approach, like making a comment about something they are buying, or asking the employee a question and trying to get a convo started. If you overdo approaching you can get kicked out.

Talk to 5-10 men and women (workers are okay) before you ever start actually approaching. Just like the gym, you have to warm up. Trying to go from 0-100 cold is very very difficult. Every instructor I know does warm ups whenever possible.
