As someone who has been using dating apps for the past 2 years, I feel like I am not getting the girls I really want on there. I get plenty of matches on Tinder however they are not the girls I actually want to fuck, even if they are actually decent looking. I'll admit, I have a thing for Asian women and as a half black/white guy, I feel the odds are not in my favor. Don't get me wrong, I have hooked up and dated plenty of Asian girls from apps but those are over a length of time. I probably have about a 3/10 chance of matching with with one that I swiped on and out of those 3, I probably get 2 numbers and only 1 date.

I happen to live a block away from a small University and I've been going out and walking around cold approaching. I've probably only approached about 6 girls around the area. Granted there aren't many attractive girls I would go for at this time of year due to all the college students being back home. All of them have politely rejected me, and these girls range from 4/10 ~ 7/10. I've been told plenty of times from girls I've dated/hooked up with that I am very attractive and have a nice body.

I will admit there are actually plenty of girls that I have "let go" because I persuaded myself not to approach. Usually happens when they are walking and there are a couple people walking behind her as well or they just happen to cross the street as I get there.

Ironically, the hottest girl I've been hooking up with lately was a girl I didn't really think would go anywhere. I do freelance photography and I was at the gym with my buddies. Saw this hot Asian chick and went over and suggested that she should model for me. I got her IG and a week later we did a shoot and that's all I expected. She said she wished she could grab drinks after but needed to go home as we were going back to our cars. I shot her a DM and suggested we go out to grab drinks by my place. Grabbed drinks, went back to my place and hooked up. We've been seeing each other once or twice a week since.

Anyways, my typical approach is that I walk up to them and say hi. Ask for their name, give them my name and tell them I thought they were cute and I had to stop and talk to them. We'd talk for a few minutes then I'd go for the number but no results yet. I stand chest out with eye contact and tease them a little. I like to go out and walk around but the university is pretty small but dense. So I feel like people are just going to see me walking around the area multiple times. I don't want to end up being that weird guy that just walks around campus, alone. Probably won't be much of an issue once the semester starts and there are tons of students walking around. But as of right now, the campus is pretty empty.

I have read a lot of posts on this sub-reddit over the week.

Any advice for me?
