Being smart?

Depends on the girl. Although, I think long term it would be very difficult to be with someone you don't consider smart. I (23F) personally can't be with anyone who isn't highly intelligent. I am attracted to brains as much as brawn. In fact, brains can make for brawn.

I remember having a huge crush on this guy a few years ago in college. Then I finally met him at a party and he couldn't hold a conversation! He was so boring and dull that I was totally over him within a few hours. Several of my friends felt the same way too. One girl said she was going to make out with him, but then they kept talking and she just couldn't do it.

I think this might be best suited for /r/askseddit Anyway, it depends on your definition of smart. If you score high on social intelligence, you can seduce naturally. I've seen some guys with lots of that without being that physically attractive and pretty successful at getting girls.

I'm smart, ive been told its a negative for women, with other things, but it was used as a point on why i will always be single. They were right.

I think it depends on the girl’s preference, but most girls would expect you to atleast be able to hold a proper conversation and talk about sophisticated subjects. Also, for your own good, I think it would be helpful to be a little intelligent, so you can read signs about the girl and the relationship easily

In my opinion being smart is one of the easiest ways to attract women outside of looks. It is highly correlated with power and success in life and women dig that. And smart people are often more interesting and fun to be around. You don't have to actually be super high IQ, you just have to be knowledgeable about things, interesting, and be funny.
