Bratty little sister

I assume you don't have a sister, let alone a younger one. My sister is a very cool person but, since she's 7 years my junior and in college, she does get on my nerves ("popular", sense of superiority and thinks I'm out of touch). I would boil our relationship with her down this: 1. I don't take her seriously- like, ever. (I poke fun, egg her on, and try and lead her to meaningful ends in conversation which I know add value to her world). 2. She is emotionally unstable- it's not her fault, so I nurture her mental state where and when I can. ( she's young and allowed to be emotionally expressive cause her cooter, it's my job to be the rock and shelter) 3. Controlled vulnerability ( I allow myself to open up to her, but I DO NOT use her as an emotional tampon. It's a method for us to connect, and share and that is all.) 4. I keep it fun and playful (it's my parents job to lay down the law and all that jazz, I on the other hand get the job of making happy fun memories! :D (I take her out at night, get dinner, play with the puppies, FaceTime her when she's with her friends cause they think I'm funny, workout with her, etc.)

Just, have fun, be playful, be a light in her darkness, an example of what a man should be. She should WANT both to show you her boo boo (her issues) and smile when you kiss it and tell her to toughen up (not take her seriously and emotionally ping her). Sorry for the odd analogy, but I love my sis and this got me real emotional. Hope this helps brah homie 🤙🏼❤️💵
