Can someone explain to me the difference between a nice guy who gets pushed around and a nice guy who actually gets some?

Be genuinely nice. Don't be nice because you expect to receive some sort of reward. If you do that, you're just being disingenuous and manipulative.

It's not really about being an "asshole." It's more or less not giving in to everything they ask of you on a whim.

Please, do not be an "asshole" in the sense of the traditional way asshole is described.

Nice guys that get laid are nice but they lead. They take risks, they stand up for saying what pleases themselves. Be assertive. Most "nice" guys are too scared to do that.

Lead and be assertive while staying nice.

I felt the same way. Until tonight.

First time out applying some of the theory I learned here and in other realms of PU. I'm not sure if I can eloquently describe this but let me try.

You being the "nice guy" standing / sitting at he bar is NOT going to get you into conversations with females, it's just not. I was a very respectable human male tonight and for my first night out actually APPROACHING females closed the night with two #'s and BOTH are honestly interested in seeing me again. Not only that but I used some of day game at night. We'll see how it turns out but I was completely and 100% honest with every woman I approached. I posted a field report. I had some snags.

If you can approach, open and then be honest and yourself. Game is just fun.
