Ive been talking to this girl for 3 months but active only for the last one. At first she was supposedly single then had an ex that lived with her. Eventually he was a kind of BF then eventually she spit out the truth about him being an emotionally abusive BF she wanted to leave.

By that point in time I was completely invested in building this relationship. Now Im caught in this trap of her being completely dominant. We can only see each other when she is able to get away. She keeps telling me she is going to leave him but at times I wonder if she is sincere or manipulating me. The night before the first time we had sex I told her I didnt want to be the other guy or her crutch. Now I'm just grasping at straws trying to figure out a way to take control of this relationship. Please help!!
