Went to Chick Fil A. Got my food, went to the picnic tables. Tried a cold approach with the is this table taken with a girl that was by herself. Turns out she was on the phone. I just politely and quietly ate my food then after a few min she told her friend over the phone she had class and would call her later then she left the table without ever speaking besides the initial yeah you can sit there. Kind of a fail but also not since I had a few minutes of learning to control the awkwardness and not freak out.

Lesson: I never got the chance to speak but I did keep the encounter from being too awkward by changing my body language to stay open and I also didn’t make unnecessary eye contact
