Is a cold approach typically successful if you have strong fundamentals?

I’m new to a city with no friends and I’m looking to meet some girls. I am a confident & good looking guy and I notice I do get looks from girls but I’m still on those terrible dating apps and not approaching... I don’t wanna meet my wife off tinder lol
