I'm making this post for all the people that may have confidence or self esteem issues. It's talked about a lot in dating, and even the real world, because who wouldn't want a healthy esteem of oneself and a good sense of self? But some of us have had childhood events that ruined our self esteem and don't even notice it. I recommend you guys to look back and see what went wrong and what really happened. Be honest with yourself, because this is the shit that holds you back. A lot of the reasons of why we are who we are today is because of our childhood, and what we went through. No matter if you were loved, cared for, not loved, not cared for, not validated, validated. All of this stems from childhood and they make your core beliefs. And those core beliefs are what affect your confidence and self esteem and could be the reason why you see flaws within yourself sometimes. Basically perpetuating the idea that you be insecure and lose your power within yourself, always allowing others to criticize you or step over your boundaries, not loving yourself, etc. A lot of stuff runs deeper though such as shame and the inner critic in your head that chastises you and ruins your self esteem. Everything will be mentioned in the book below.

A book I recommend you to read is Healing your Emotional Self by Beverely Engel. Talks about all the common errors parents use to parent their children and how some of these parental techniques have negative effects on one's self esteem and total sense of self. From ranging from not accepting yourself or how you look, feelings of worthlessness, approval seeking and seeking external validation, and all types of other negative core beliefs and messages we carry. It's a therapeutic book that costs $20 that goes really in depth and can help you with your problems today. Best of luck
