I was walking by and passing thru.

There was a gorgeous lady sat on some stairs that I had to climb to pass. She was looking at me and saw me coming and I saw her sitting there. I immediately looked away and pretended to look at a shop near by.

As I neared the stairs, I looked at her again and she was looking at me again, then she looked away. Right as I crossed her, she looked at me again and I just awkwardly cracked a smile and nodded at her and then just walked past.

I psyched myself out and chickened out. It just felt weird to approach a total random stranger. Idk if its cultural or has to do with a different upbringing than western society but I couldn't do it. It didn't feel right.

I definitely wanted to and had different thoughts running thru my mind. Do I say this? What can I ask her? What if she's just sitting there and doesn't want to be approached? What if she already has a guy and I'd maky myself look like an idiot?

As I was walking past, I immediately had thoughts of walking back there and striking up a conversation but figured now that I had already passed her, it would look even more weird.

I'm beating myself up over it now smh. It was a missed opportunity. I hate myself rn
