The PUA term for this is "damage control." You can plow through almost any error as long as you don't act like you got caught fucking up. Keep your frame and keep moving.

Explain around? It's not clear what you mean, but if you mean justifying whatever it was you did that you fucked up, no. You never do that. It makes you look pathetic. Only a person who makes a lot of mistakes would spend time explaining them. Ignore them, do something attractive, and they will be forgotten.
