Hey guys, need some advice on escalation.
Went to a dance club.
Outside, a few girls held gaze with me as they walked in.
On the dance floor, one of them ended up dancing near me. She was fixing her hair, moving her head left and right, talking with her friends but staying close. Our eyes met a couple of times – not a ton, but enough.
I finally said something: "Your coat looks good… it looks good on you."
She said "thank you," danced a bit longer near me, then left.
I didn't escalate. No hand offer, no spin, no name ask. I just stood there.
Later I realized: I was waiting for her to make the obvious move . That's not realistic.

So my question : In that exact situation (dancing close, hair fixing, eye contact, she says "thank you"), what is the single best next move to pull the trigger without being creepy? I need a step-by-step.

Thanks.
