This happened to me once, when i never even approached anyone. The girl group were just by where i was dancing by myself.

The point is, some girls enjoy the kick of rejecting guys, and some will reject you when you hadn't even done anything. It's never personal.

It's often not really the matter of your poor personal presentation, but the girl just being in a bad mood. You need to embrace the risk of many uncontrollable circumstances. Don't struggle, don't brute force things against all odds, don't get apologetic. Just bail out smoothly, process emotions, move on. Don't just walk up to girls and start dancing. That is weird, creepy, and unsettling for women. Instead, walk up to them, look them in the eye, and introduce yourself like a fucking human being. You can even give a compliment. You then ask if you can dance with them.
