TL;DR pick-up is a specialized hobby looking for results in a specific area but is worth to put a lot of time in it to try to pull gorgeous, very sought after women?

Objectively looking at pick up, wouldn't it be better to focus purely on inner game (body, looks, voice, confidence, status, etc) and know some basics (such as logistics, don't overly chase)? Basically develop one self and then go have fun and try to pull?

I know a soccer player will do MUCH better in soccer against someone with better health and body. Is a person advanced in seduction both in practice and theory actually doing much better in it's field than a nearly fully focused self development person, sociable person?
