Keep it ambiguous. Defining it as a date via text does not help you. Imho one should never directly call a meet up a date. You already had the two meet ups before summer, to show her your romantic interest.
Calling it a date would just put pressure on you two and reduce increase the chances, that she will flake.
The name-category of the meet up does not get you anywhere. What matters is that you flirt and escalate at the event, if the chemistry between you two is right. This is the deciding factor.
You decide on your own, whether you will invite you friends or not. If you don't want her to invite her friends, you just have to make clear, that this is something, you two together.
If for some reasons friends are present at the event, it could become harder for you. But it still would be possible, to find a way to flirt and escalate with her, if you two are in the right state.
