Tbh who cares? Just laugh at yourself, show that you don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks of you and keep talking about whatever you want.
I was getting dinner with this girl the other night and we ordered some wine. I’m no wine connoisseur but I enjoy a glass from time to time. So here I am swirling my wine in a funny way and she stops me to say “what are you doing? You don’t swirl white wine”
I laughed and said “I don’t care. I do”
She says “I’m not judging you, just letting you know”
I reply “I don’t care if you were judging me. I’m going to still swirl my wine if I want to.”
She says “I like your confidence” and went on to tell me how refreshing it is to be with someone who doesn’t care what others think.
Just be your own man. Who cares if you “lose frame”. Their opinion is meaningless. Lead the conversation to wherever you want to take it.
