PLEASE dont use these "gurus" for advice. They are selling bullshit, and dont give true advice because then they can't make sales. The truth is, if you are not up to par in terms of value (looks, money, popularity, success, etc) you will not have success in the dating world. In your case, since you are in highschool, most guys' value will be popularity and looks. You are only 14 so you have plenty of time to work on yourself and become popular(i.e. joining the football team, hosting parties, knowing where the parties are at, etc) you need to bring some sort of value to the table.

Ok, check him out though see what he has because it has worked in the past. Also I think my value or whatever is pretty low already because I'm only 5'4" (162 cm)

When you're talking to them make it obvious that you want to be their lover, not their friend. Make them laugh, be unpredictable, offer them something they don't get from other boys. Don't text or talk too much, be mysterious. Try to call them on a date as soon as possible, but make it seem casual. For example ask them to join you for a walk somewhere after school. If they ask you were we going just say That's on me 😉. Just go with the flow. And of course try to kiss her on the first date. Don't give them time to friendzone you.
