Met a girl too, same time, 9th grade. Everybody else saw her as average but i though she was really beautiful, smart and outspoken. Was suppose to go on a trip with school but my passport didnt work so i was left at school, and there she was, she was new in my class too. Remained at school with some few other students, got to know her, really kind girl. Got rejected at the end but she was really kind about it. At the end of 10th grade she gave me a handwritten note thanking me for making her school days better when she started there. She was really something diff. Its like one of those moment I knew id probably never see her again but i am really glad I got to meet her.

oh wow... sure. In the 9th grade, I met a girl at church and she showed a lot of interest with me. We'd text ALL THE TIME and I was amazed at how easily I could talk to her without feeling like I needed to act cool, etc. One day, while we were in church, she kept looking at me and I was smiling about something and I guess she thought I was smiling at her, because I couldn't believe my eyes when she asked me to her school's dance when church was over. She'd told some of the other girls (she was pretty cute and friends with the other hot girls) and I saw them looking at us when she asked me to the dance. I hate myself for it, and didn't see it this way back then, but now I realize thats' what caused me to pussy out and we didn't talk until junior year. Over a period of 2 weeks, we got back to where we were, but I pussied out a second time (didn't go for the kiss, and- generally- was scared to escalate because our culture isn't keen on physical touch outside of handshakes/high-fives) and we never spoke again. Funnily enough, her brother interviewed me for med school and our paths cross often, but I don't think he knows I was his sister's first love (and she mine). I think the girl knows that I am near her brother. That'll be a funny story if/when it blossoms to fruition.
In senior year of college, a girl (different person) asked for my number at the end of our shift at work. Eventually, our boss would leave early and we'd just play games, etc. and talk. I'd catch her staring at me all the time but instead of being put off by it, I smiled back. She was the girl I kissed first and I was really obese then and scared to do anything sexually so I just left it at that. We stopped talking after pandemic started (Notice the trend in eye contact and smiling? I did... I guess I must be blessed with a decent face because my BMI is 34 and I can still get somewhere with my smiles with the occasional girl (I still never really send it sexually even though seduction teaches us to do so because I just don't like playing with people that way... even though I think it'd be hot).

I feel like you basically described what it means to not desire the 'normal' but your subjective preference

Woman is so much more than her digital picture. Her appearance might slightly change depending on the circumstances and people around. Also, your taste in woman changes and evolves with time and experience.
