It’s bullshit and doesn’t help with fat loss.
It can only make u skinny fat if u follow it.

So then I ask what is an ideal weight for a 6 ft male for attractiveness?

That's the point. Don't base it off weight but looks. You should be chasing broad shoulders, filled out arms and a thin waist. Not a specific weight.

perfect example. 20lbs lighter but looks as thic and strong as when he was 190lbs. Also shows u why bmi is bullshit. To bmi he might've not been in the ''perfect'' range

Put on muscle nothing crazy but fill out you’re chest, triceps and abs. Then get lean. There is no special weight but everyone looks most attractive with a foundation of muscle and low body fat percentage.

I read a study that women’s average ideal is a BMI of 25-26…BUT the key is a body fat % of 15 to 17%.
Funny that when it came to straight men grading other straight men that same study showed higher scores for “jacked” like big muscular frame. But women liked “lean athletic”.

Don't know about BMI, but 12% body fat is what most women prefer according to one study.
If I were to guess, the healthiest BMI scores the best with most women. If you work out a lot so you have extra muscle, BMI is a bad indicator since you will score too high. BMI is only a good indicator for people who don't do a lot of weightlifting.
The healthiest BMI is around 20-22. Around 68-70 kg for your height.

I am a 5'5' woman and I used to weigh 68kg a few years ago, I looked slim and toned. No way a 6ft man would look good at 68 kg surely he'd very much be on the skinny side and most girls don't like that. Just my opinion.

Well, it's a personal preference of course. Minor deviations from the average is normal. Being slightly on the skinny side is healthy as fuck though. Just look at your average, elite 1500 meter runner. Health is wealth baby!

Maybe a better question is what is the ideal weight for a 6 ft male based on attractiveness?

Body fat % is by far the best metric, weight and BMI only tell a small portion of the story

10-12% body fat with muscle and you're golden.

BMI is a load of bull. Hope you know that
[–]Tjknicks72 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It’s just a form of measuring. There are flaws but it can help with weight loss.

You want to be at the upper end of "normal", which is 25.
The key for appearances is that you want that little bit of extra weight to be muscle, not fat. You'll look really good with 15% body fat.
So... You're already at the right weight. Just start lifting. 🏋️
