Well, idk about salvaging this, but I did go drinking with a girl once who had actually asked me out. Everyone in the office was jealous.
She proceeded to drink me under the table, pouring jagger down my throat and I didn’t want to look like a pussy so I kept taking it. This girl was a bonafide alcoholic. I was out of my league. We stayed till closing time and I knew I was in deep shit. She knew everyone in that bar by the way. Was pretty fun until I was blind drunk.
Got back to her apartment, laid down on her bed and proceeded to puke for a solid 5 minutes. Pretty sure I fell asleep there. It was enjoyable riding the subway home in puke covered clothing the next day. Her roommate wanted me dead.
That was not salvageable and I did not try. Quit the next month.
So, you can use that as your baseline. Is this better or worse than they guy who puked himself out of sex with the hot new office girl (and his job)?

Definitely apologize, nothing wrong with that. But Who cares if her hot friend that was into you has a BF, dude thats not your BF so why does it matter! Go ahead and slay the hot friend and watch her boomerang back into you, or the both of you since she is bi! And never ask to facetime, just do it

1- do not apologize, simply because you are asking should you? If you did something wrong you wouldn’t feel the need to ask us whether you should apologize, so don’t.
2- do not reach out, let her reach out to you because you already messaged but she left you on read, trying again will do more harm than good by making you seem needy.
3- continue your life as usual, talk to other girls and hang out with your buddies, to keep yourself busy.
4- btw, do not be spending time texting her or face timing, the less you’re around her the more your presence will be missed by her, keep things short and sweet from now on, also never talk about politics or bring it up with her.
5- do not care if you offend her in regards to what you said, by saying something offensive you appear as If you aren’t trying to impress her and will make her fuck with you more, but don’t be saying offensive shit 24/7 😂, say what you feel when you feel it, say what you mean and want not what you want people to hear.

If you apologize, you surrender and disrespect yourself cause you don’t really want to but feel like you have, to get some ass, stand your ground. Instead of apologizing just act like it never happened, and if she seems irritated just ask her how’s she’s feeling.

This is just bad, no girls don't think apologizing makes you weak as long as you bring it up in a natural way and say it sincerely yet firmly
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
It’s not the fact that apologizing makes you weak, it’s the fact that he feels like he has to when he doesn’t want to, to make someone be less mad at him.
Walking on egg shells never did anyone no good, not to mention he didn’t say anything wrong, she just didn’t Iike what he said and doesn’t like that he is republican.

It sounds like at the party she's just trying to play it cool to see how you would react, it's also important for her that you get on with her friends if you guys are ever going to be exclusive one day so she'll be paying attention to how you all get on.
As for the facetime left on read, she could have been watching TV or busy with something and just quick glanced at her phone, so don't read much into that.
As for the 'offensive' jokes, they that bad or just not her sense of humour?
Leave it a couple of days and ask her out again planning a date, something like "hey I heard about this cool X that does Y and want to check it out, let's goooo!"
If she isn't keen, go to that cool X that does Y and have an awesome time, you're putting yourself in a win win situation!

No, it would be best to act like it never happened. You guys aren't in a relationship yet, why would you sour the dating phase by bringing up a potentially negative conversation? Asking directly would put her on the spot, and nobody likes that feeling. You'll know where you stand if she wants to hang out with you or not, if she's decided that she doesn't want to date because she thinks you're "Republican" when it's not true, just smile and file this girl under "life experience weirdos that you run into sometimes", it's obviously an issue with her view on the world and not with you as a person.

She likely has a perspective that if your church has those views and you attend that church you are supporting those values by extension.
She probably doesnt see a future with you if your social group is openly anti queer.
Speaking as a bi guy its not enough to be tolerated we want to be celebrated.
