Well gee, it's almost as if people who don't live within immediate distance of each other, who like/liked each other and connect so well, resort to other means of communication in the meantime before they actually meet up. It's almost as if we would have had in person dates already in place of long phone conversations + without a raging pandemic going on.
I get that being on this sub long enough can instill a PUA mindset into guys, but that's not how the real world works. Sometimes when you find someone you seem like you care about, you want to make things work and see where it goes.

No, I understood exactly where you were coming from, but the way you went about doing it was completely inappropriate and mocking.
I know you were trying to highlight how long distance and just chatter is limiting when it comes to dating, but the manner in which you choose to convey that deserved to be called out for it's bullshit. You didn't approach this in good faith. You came to judge, not help.

The irony is palpable. My dude, own up to what you did... There's more dignity that way.
As someone nearing the age of 30, some life advice -- clean up your act and realize the way you conduct yourself with other people matters. Even if you are right about something, always approach a situation with humility. Not presumption, snark, or arrogance. And also? Don't associate perceived "weak behavior" with femininity. There's a not so subtle implicit misogynist undertone to that nonsense.
