A few questions I have - It doesn't read to you as her unintentionally leading me on/playing with my heart, the fact she said yes to me back in October, even though she wasn't sure exactly how she felt? "it leaves the door open for her to come back in the future" What do you mean by this? Come back how? "You do that by leaving her alone long enough that she forgets about that and misses you." How could she miss me romantically if she isn't into me anymore? Do you feel going no-contact mode for a…

Here's the thing dude - She was going through a lot of shit. Fighting with her mom. Saying her dad was a dead beat. Issues at work and staying up with late shifts. What else was I supposed to do?.....Just be like "Oh, that sucks."....? I didn't try to solve her problems for her. Just listen and encourage her.

Again - how do I know it isn't already ended and she just wants to be friends? You're not listening.

No confidence. Work on it. Learn to take women showing signs of interest in you as something to relish in. Not dread. They're into you. That's already like 1/3rd of the work right there. Instead of looking at it from a "Oh no, what do I do now?" kind of standpoint, look at it as a "Hell yeah, let's see where this goes." and a "I am good enough, because they clearly think I am as well. So might as well prove them, and myself, right.

Why do you feel that way? Please give some insight, instead of just a statement like that with zero context. And how do I know she already hasn't ended it, but used "go on a break" to make it sound nicer?

Alright, thanks for this. I just edited the post and asked folks again on the sub to get second opinions. Do you think it's already over, or should I reach out to her again tonight/tomorrow night with a "hey, what's up?" kinda message?

Why were they mistakes though? She got real with me, so I got real with her. Is it ALWAYS a bad idea for men to show vulnerability? How else am I supposed to respond to "men don't see me as wife/material"?

I have no idea. We meet 24 hours ago. Its way too early to say, plus is long distance. Why do you ask? Out of curiosity?
/r/seduction06/10/21 10:18 AM
1

If you don't mind me asking - You don't think she made herself vulnerable when she told me that whole paragraph about wanting love and men not seeing her in any way other than just someone to sleep with/have a good time? "i dont know your guys relationship outside the text." We meet last night. Everything that was mentioned in the post is our first ever interaction outside of when we meet through the video game 24 hours ago.

I don't regret being vulnerable. Just worried that I let the steam out of the bag and curb stomped any flirty dynamic between us going forward. I was really looking forward to her Afternoon tease when she told me she was going to "pick apart my brain". That told me she was interested in seeing if I am up to snuff. And it's such a self esteem harbinger for me...because it feels like I made a whole mess out of her "when are we going to the shore?" question. It makes me feel like a social retard. I…

Am I crazy for thinking it's possibly a red flag when she said she was being serious about that Jersey shore thing? Or do you feel she was still joking based on the context of what I wrote? We had meet almost 24 hours ago on the dot last night....That plus the whole "men don't see me seriously" thing and admitting she can be "a lot" for people and lamenting over being the only single one in her friend's group. The idea of someone wanting to meet up that quickly is odd. Like, in your honest view,…

If you don't mind me asking, what about it did I fail? I told her I was busy when she told me "there's no date". Wouldn't it have been worse if I engaged with her? That would've shown I was too available.

The irony is palpable. My dude, own up to what you did... There's more dignity that way. As someone nearing the age of 30, some life advice -- clean up your act and realize the way you conduct yourself with other people matters. Even if you are right about something, always approach a situation with humility. Not presumption, snark, or arrogance. And also? Don't associate perceived "weak behavior" with femininity. There's a not so subtle implicit misogynist undertone to that nonsense. All that b…

No, I understood exactly where you were coming from, but the way you went about doing it was completely inappropriate and mocking. I know you were trying to highlight how long distance and just chatter is limiting when it comes to dating, but the manner in which you choose to convey that deserved to be called out for it's bullshit. You didn't approach this in good faith. You came to judge, not help. You subsequently never addressed any of the substance in the post regarding the questions I had a…

Yes. I ain't talking to a girl on the phone that long if she was boring/there's no chemistry. Of course interpersonal interaction adds a different element to the game, but come on now.

Well gee, it's almost as if people who don't live within immediate distance of each other, who like/liked each other and connect so well, resort to other means of communication in the meantime before they actually meet up. It's almost as if we would have had in person dates already in place of long phone conversations + without a raging pandemic going on. I get that being on this sub long enough can instill a PUA mindset into guys, but that's not how the real world works. Sometimes when you find…

It has now been 2 full days and she hasn't reached out to me. Do you think it would be a bad idea to hit her up tomorrow night (when it reaches 3 days)...? She did technically leave the ball in my court. Also, since you said she was shit testing me, do you think I passed those tests? Dude, we literally meet each other like 45 days ago, so relax. We're barely even aquaintances and still just talking and getting to know each other. I get that being on this sub long enough instills a PUA mindset into guys, but the real world doesn't work that way. Long distance present their own challenges, sure, but I've had a long distance relationship before, and it worked. Go hit the showers and call it a night, son.

Update: The next night, she messaged me saying "You can text me if you want. There is no date." I told her "Can't, busy. Hanging out with my uncle." She responded "Alrighty, feel free to hit me up whenever". And I said "Sure." Neither of us has contacted the other in the last 2 days. How about actually addressing what I said here instead of just saying "It's dumb and you don't have an open mind." I'm telling you all this based on my experience and what the vast majority of human history shows. And I'll say it again - Women are biologically compelled to find men (or mates) that are providers, leaders, and can protect them, and provide high social value. Mates with dominant behavioral patterns. That's the cold hard truth. It's the same as saying 2 + 2 = 4. It's the same as say…

He's not wrong. I've met maybe two women in my life that could keep up/outmatch me when diving deep into the topics I love to talk about, one of which being philosophy. I'm just not able to have stimulating conversations on many complicated topics with women like I am with men. And that isn't a "I am so smart"comment. It's that the vast majority of women I have met are genuinely unable to do it. And that's not to say women are dumb or anything, it's just that men and women a lot of he time tend …

Well that's the thing - I don't know for sure if that is what she's doing with me. It's also possible that she does like me, but doesn't want to come across needy. That she faked the "accidental" phone call because she wanted to talk to me without being across too eager. You get the impression that she's testing me. Testing me as in, interested in me still, or in a "using this guy for validation" sense?
/r/seduction29/09/21 08:28 AM

I don't plan to chase her, but I asked you based on the dialogue I've had with her so far, does it sound like that was what I was doing? She hasn't reached out to me today, btw. I dunno if that means she has enough validation, or she just doesn't want to come across needy/is waiting to see what I will do.

Do you think I passed those tests? 1) In response to her "accidentally called comment", I only entertained her for a bit before bidding her a good evening. 2) In response to her "I have a date tomorrow, don't text me" comment, I tried to play it cool (with what I said in the post). 3) And in response to "You can text me. There is no date." I told her 'No can do, chief. Hanging out with my uncle atm." She responded "Alrighty, feel free to hit me up whenever." To which I sent back a simple "😊".
/r/seduction29/09/21 08:10 AM

Thank you, I will take that to heart. Last question - Tonight was the first night we haven't had contact (and she's the one who usually initiates contact with me everyday). So the last exchange we had was last night telling her I was busy, her saying "Alrighty. Feel free to message me whenever.", and me saying simply "🤘" in response. Is her not reaching out tonight necessarily a bad sign, or is she just waiting to see what I'll do next?

1) No, not everyone has said that. 2) If I followed this sub's advice with the last girl I was talking/am talking to (telling me she was using me) I'd have blown that whole situation up. It was later revealed she was putting up distance with me because she wants me to be ready for a relationship, but I'm not. So it's a bit hard for me to take a bunch of PUAs seriously when they make broad definitive statements like that. Is this current girl friendzoning me? Yeah, that's a possibility. Is that a…

"Stop wasting time with girls who don't like you." As much as I appreciate the honest input? Stephanie literally called me daddy last Wednesday. She's not using me. I told her I'm not ready to be in a relationship. She raised the idea of us meeting in person one day, and it's likely that the contact between us has been minimal because she's not getting her hopes up. "It shows either she is testing you or doesn't view you in a romantic manner" I mentioned those as possibilities (the testing or no interest) in the Post. That's why I asked for feedback in how this comes across. You're not saying anything I haven't already speculated on. I already knew there were 3 possible scenarios overall. So if she was testing me, what should I have said?

To add more context - She does actually really like talking to me. As a precursor to everytime we spoke in the phone, she dropped a lot of hints that she wanted to call, e.g. "I'm in my room alone now" and " I don't feel like studying". And like I said, our chats have been lively when we do talk. And she does have work Wed - Fri. I remember her working those days a couple weeks ago as well. "“It isn't changing the situation, it's keeping things the way they are”. You said this before I added further stipulations to how I would hypothetically go about doing that (I might not, and just end it for all I know). You brought up Distance as a factor, and I clarified that me and her had already talked about this and it's not an issue for us. You brought up Years as a factor, and then I clarified it would only be a few months. You brought up that it's "Doing the same exact thing you're alre…

It isn't a debate. I'm literally asking if the details I added would add nuance to the situation/make it not so cut and dry like how you present it. It's an entirely valid question to ask. And that you would get offended and impatient by that is perplexing.

I'm trying to elaborate on how exactly I would go about it and asking if the conditions I mentioned above would change anything. Don't sit there, fold your arms, and just double down without acknowledging any nuances to the situation. Can't take the heat? Get out of the kitchen.

"The long distance thing" She told me back in August the distance doesn't matter to her. It doesn't matter to me either. "the more years you push it off." I would never set a timeline of years. It would be anywhere between 3 to 6 months maximum. But I would make it clear that she should not wait for me. She's under no obligation to do so. "that's doing the exact same thing you've always been doing." Now there would be an established timeline instead of a nebulous "I'm not ready and never specifi…

If I want to change it, would that necessarily entail committing to a relationship right then and there the next time me and her chat? What if I tell her I'm not ready, but I want to work towards being in a relationship with her? Do people do this? And is there a way to go about this in a healthy way? I don't expect her to wait for me. That would be fucked up. But I'm asking, is there a path for "building towards something" with her, or is it a point blank choice of being with her now or putting…

There is a difference between legal right and moral right. If you come over my house, I don't owe you kindness and to welcome you in and treat you as a guest. But I do so because it's the right thing to do. Just because it's the internet, doesn't make it okay for all of us to be assholes to each other. I'm sorry for the late reply. How do I even know if the issue here IS that she wants me to say "I'm ready"?? And that she's been ready but was waiting for me?? It could be something else unrelated, like maybe I did act too worried on the night she got drunk and it turned her off. Or maybe there's nothing at all and she's just busy. See that's the thing - this isn't a case of I know what's wrong, but don't know what to do. It's a case of I don't know what is going on here. If I don't know what's up, I can't act accordingly. "…

Accusing her of using me for attention and leading me on is a serious charge. How do you know this? I should probably say that she confessed to having a crush on me back in May AND that we live 1,500 miles apart.

She did tell me she had a crush on me back in May. We give each other affectionate pet names. We flirted pretty heavily 2 nights ago and it got steamy. She told me she was blushing the entire time. I get called cute, cutie, handsome, and adorable regularly.

We had a steamy back and forth flirt session 2 nights ago. This is just how we talk. It's a friendly, wholesome, romance hybrid thing. Something that will have to be sorted out soon.

I know for sure that she was interested in me before I sent that response. A girl won't talk about snuggling unless she likes the guy. That much, I'm aware of. But maybe I really should have given a stronger affirmation to that comment. Because "And that makes both of our ways" kinda sounds weird. It was hours after she sent that, and she could've either not understood what I was referring to, or thought it was too tame of a reply to her affection/didn't match her level.

I don't understand. How did they have time to check you out if both of you were driving? Were your two cars side by side each other on the road going at the same speed?

Keep it up, bro. The first one is always the hardest.

If you don't mind me asking, how old were you when you went on your first date ever?

Are women really that receptive to being approached in a grocery store?

Whoa. So your interactions with her on the dating app weren't flirty. The interactions on the text messages weren't flirty. And you weren't flirty on the date until you went to the pier. Don't women usually lose attraction verrrry quickly if the guy is talking to her like he's her friend? I always thought you had to keep them excited. Or did I misunderstand your post?

When you talked about where you were from, was it casual conversation or did you do it in a flirty way?

"She opened up and said how nice it was for me to be that forward and to take control." She told you this when you were on the date? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how short was your texting conversation before arranging the date? How many messages do you recommend?

Did this happen in the parking lot? You mention she was getting off her motorcycle. So you saw her when you exited the store and she had pulled up, right? I'm just wondering.

How drunk were you? You might have avoided committing rape.

You may be right. Thing is, we were hitting it off really well until those last bits of dialogue. If I had to guess, I think I came across in a way that showed her "I can have this guy if I wanted him", and maybe a little too eager. I dunno. Really starting to think I should've made a light joke about the "I'm scary" part. She may have even be joking, and it completely flew over my head.

Man, I just want to find a girl that likes all of me - the physical and the emotional. The example I gave in the post about the one I had everything in common with really fucked me up. This happened a few days ago and I'm still rattled. It's making me think that anything unrelated to physical attraction isn't really unrelated to it, and is merely a result of the Halo effect. I wouldn't be moping as much if it was a matter of her rejecting me after finding everything else about me attractive but …

I don't disagree with that. I'm just tired of being told by women that this isn't the case and how we, as men, are spoon fed the what is likely the greatest lie in all of dating. Charm and wit have their limitations. I appreciate your responses. What do you think I should do to address this frustration? Work out more?

Right, and my point is that nothing you do or say is going to be seen as attractive to someone if you don't pass some kind of physical threshold. It's not a matter of "you have this going for you, but not this". It's that the things that are attractive about you are not seen as attractive unless you have the full package. I'm also saying women have no clue what they're talking about when they say a guy can "grow on them over time". He was never disqualified from the looks department to begin wit…

I don't think I am a victim here. I just don't believe women are honest about it. They say they like men who are passionate. They don't unless he's cute. Not only that - they don't think the passion itself is cute unless he is physically cute. Did you even read my second point about how men don't really "grow on women" over time?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
