People seem to overthink situations like this often but with you being in HS I can say you are definitely way over thinking it. Clearly getting into a debate over who remembers who isn't a really interesting or fun conversation. If anything you should have changed the subject after she said she didn't with something more relevant or interesting but it would have been better just to talk about something else from the start. I have no idea what HS is like now as it's been about 16 years but I imagine one thing that is the same is nothing you do in high school really matters. It seems like this huge important part of life but really everyone is just figuring themselves out and that continues until your mid 20s at least.

The logic of this subreddit can still apply though which is: have the confidence to approach and learn from your mistakes. Definitely don't dissect this silly interaction. Don't stress either. Once you are out of HS you can have these embarrassing or awkward conversations with tons of women that you will most likely never see again, unlike in HS where that chance is much higher.

This sounds like something called a shit test. She wanted to know how you feel about her not noticing you. She wanted to know how much would you care if she didn't acknoledge you and see you. ( she probably noticed you were a bit anxious after she said that) and then saw you as low value for loosing your ground and walked away. The best way to reply to shit tests is with a joke or an overexaggeration. For example something like wow I just realized im like casper the ghost, people don't seem to see me, or you could of put the pressure on her like saying wow you didn't see me ? When was the last time you checked your eyes you should see a doctor. But all of these should be said in the most fun and unbutthurt way possible. Cheers lad nothing is a loss there are only lessons to be learned from these situations. Move on to the next and play the game better. Good luck and have fun 😉.

Listen young man when talking to girls in your high school try to engage her when there are not many people around. Young girls tend to be very shy and cannot talk to boys in public but will willfully engage with u in a a more private setting.
