dear, OP
1) observe the chick for 5 seconds,
what is she doing? Is there anything in her hands? Is she dressed fancy? Is she shopping? Does she have items that YOU also like? Is she engaging in a social activity? Does she seem to be enjoying it?
2) comment on that or ask her an open-ended question(while giving eye contact and giving a shxt-eating grin).
"That looks fun", "hey that looks good is it?", "Sup' how you doing today?", "I see you got the Reese's..must have a sweet tooth?", "Wow that's a pretty smile...can I borrow it?", "Let me guess...you like blank too?", "Excuse me...you must be having a good day bc you have the most amazing smile right now?", Etc.
3) wait on her reply, then introduce yourself. If she's remotely interested in continuing the conversation, she'll follow suit(she'll be smiling and giggling or touching her hair too). If not, she'll give a blank face, angry face, no reply, flip out, or walk away from you. If so, Just walk away like she doesn't even exist(at THAT point, she doesn't).
