Her guy friend probably wants her so he was doing that on purpose. Get her number or call him out or both. Just a simple "hey man, im really more interested in what the lady thinks, can you NOT?" Would demonstrate interest as well as send the message. If he continues, he risks looking like MORE of an ass.
Dont lead girls off to private areas during get togethers. That is weird. If she wanted to be alone with you, she'd make it happen and tell him to fuck off herself.

I find men/women who call people out for acting annoying attractive - so long as they arent disrespectful to do it. It shows the right amount of authority and control over the situation, it can make someone feel safer, and it also shows that you're an assertive person with conviction. Now if you're not these things and want to be, might as well start practicing.
You dont have to "save the day", but you can "save the moment", you know?
Ex. if you tell an asshole to quiet down if he's shouting in a girls ear at a show and he doesnt realize it, she'll appreciate that you cared enough to take care of her in that moment (assuming she doesnt say something herself). But dont call him an asshole lol "buddy" is always a good one, if you're a big dude and can pull it off.

Also being willing to endure her discomfort either with her or switch her places is a solid move
Ex. she's in a cute strapless dress but someone sat her under the AC at a restaurant, you can give her your jacket, you can sit beside her or you can trade her spots, or you can asked to be moved if you just sat down and no food has been ordered. All would show initiative and assertiveness, and also that your paying attention to her and care about her comfort.
It's stuff like that that attracts me to people the most. Stuff that shows character (and also problem solving skills).
Hope that helps?

You should just say “oh shit, is is this your bf? “ Then when she says no he’s just a friend you’re like ok cool and make him look like a dumbass.

I mean...maybe. i think that's stupid, and way less demonstrative of character, but to each their own.
Simply put, the odds arent in your favor on that one. Too many potential follow ups.
He could jokingly say yes, and then you just gave him the floor.
When trying to seduce/chat up people, always always always run thru the potential comebacks and be prepared for them.
He can either say yes or no She can say yes or no
But ultimately what did you accomplish? And what are you implying? That you cant talk to her because she has a boyfriend? Where does that get you? Looking like an ass
My way is better. Trust.

Dude if the guy lies and says yes to that and the girl agrees to it, she absolutely did not want to continue talking to you.
At which point you just made a graceful exit by being mindful of her situation.

I mean, that's just too many steps. I was just assuming in this scenario the convo was going well
Also, why are you telling me how women work lol i feel like my pulse on that would be a little more reliable...
the girl agrees to it, she absolutely did not want to continue talking to you.

If a girl tells you her guy friend is her boyfriend that’s not rocket science, she is using him as an escape method.

That's not how I read the situation though; you're really monopolizing this continued hypothetical for your own response to make sense.
