Maybe she had a boyfriend and the flirting she was doing was all that she wanted. Then when you went for the M/O she felt guilty because she didn't want to cross that line that she set for herself, regardless of attraction and tension.

She broke up with her bf of 5 years. He was her first, she never kissed another man just that 1 guy. She always thought she was going to marry him but when you were about to kiss. All that sadness came back. She asked herself that" am i the slut who kisses random guys on dance floor?" The answer was no even though this is the most fun she had in last 8 months since her breakup. All this consumed and confused her. She left.

That could also be it. There are so many reasons as to what could have happened, so maybe I should just stop thinking about it and just consider it bad luck instead of thinking I made a big mistake.

Girls like attention. They grind with guys because of all the attention they get. A Makeout is a commitment of interest, and girls do not want to give it out right away. Also with their friends around, most girls do not want to make out with strangers. Maybe I am wrong but IMHO that's my theory
