Great.
I disagree with 2. And I think 1 and 3 are extremely important. I think following on social media is fine, if you are uncomfortable while looking at the profile that means you need to process those emotions, so I think LET yourself look at her profile as many times as you want, AND be mindful of yourself as you do it. Pain, appreciation, nostalgia, or anger might come up, and that's good, stick with all those emotions.
If you're running away and burning old items, and hiding her profile, you are AVOIDING. Avoidance cures NOTHING. If you wanna heal you need to be ready to talk about the breakup with family and friends, AND go into the details. You need to be able to look at old objects of hers, her profile, and if you cry, let it out. As many times as it needs to. If you don't do this shit early, it will sit around till years later. The more you can be a cry baby the faster you heal. Stop trying to "move on" and instead try to "face what you're avoiding."

In the article is mentioned "for now" in other words, just in the first weeks it might be better to focus on yourself. Later of course you can always tune back into it.

I imagine you're talking about my disagreement with 2? If so, I still disagree. I think there should be no avoidance early or later.

I would say: try out what works for you. Running away was not what was meant, it was more to not over-obsess with your ex (should I go back, yea? no? why? oh who is that dude?)
