Hmm I wouldn't really recommend hanging out with girls who have turned you down. Mainly because in the back of my head I would be thinking "Oh if she sees how cool I am, maybe she'll give me a second chance!" Just my opinion, I know some guys are ok with it.

Co-workers or friends of co-workers is a great option. I've met a lot of awesome women because of that. One of them has become a great source of female perspective for me because I can bounce topics off her and don't ever feel afraid to ask her for her opinion.
